Living with Monoplegia, a condition that affects one of his limbs, Mohamed never let his physical challenges define him. He pursued his education with unwavering determination, believing in the transformative power of knowledge.
His journey took an exciting turn when he became part of the Dalbile project. This initiative, implemented by UNFPA and BIHD Somalia, is designed to empower youth entrepreneurs and stimulate small businesses in Somalia. Recognizing Mohamed’s potential, the project invested in his dream, paving the way for him to open his own business - the ‘Online Electronics Shop’.
But Mohamed didn’t stop there. He took part in a bootcamp training where he honed his business skills. He learned about business planning, financial management, and how to effectively run a business. This training, implemented by BIHD and UNFPA, equipped him with the necessary tools to manage his shop successfully.
After the training, Mohamed’s hard work and dedication paid off when he became the winner of the Dalbile Youth Fund. This achievement was a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to his business. Mohamed’s shop quickly became a cornerstone of the community, offering a wide range of electronic goods. But it was more than just a store.
