Who we are

Badbaado Innovation & Humanitarian Development (BIHD) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization established in 2016. We respond to the growing humanitarian, socio-economic, and environmental challenges affecting vulnerable populations across Somalia. Our foundation is built on the belief that community-driven solutions, youth empowerment, and innovative development approaches are essential for building a resilient, peaceful, and self-reliant society.

BIHD is a voluntary humanitarian and development organization dedicated to helping the vulnerable population of Somalia.

Our mandate is empowering vulnerable and marginalized youth (girls and boys) such as IDPs, returnees, and refugees to become agents of change for a better future. We provide assistance based solely on need, mobilizing resources to improve health-friendly services, climate change response, agriculture support, and TVET programs, while ending discrimination and violence and creating a conducive environment for livelihood development and the positive use of power for youth.
